Abstract:  The ancient road that ran around the Acropolis below the Sacred Rock, was known as the "Peripatos"because it enabled the ancient Athenians to visit the many unique monuments on the north and south slopes of the Acropolis while enjoying a stroll and admiring the Attic landscape. The booklet is addressed to the educator and it describes the topography of the north slope (Klepsydra, the sanctuaries of Apollo, Zeus, Pan and the Nymphs, Aphrodite and Eros, the Aglaureion) and the south slope of the Acropolis (the Odeion of Perikles, the Sanctuary and the Theatre of Dionysos, the Choregic Monuments, the Asklepieion, the Stoa of Eumenes, the Odeion of Herodes Attikos.
